I watched the ted talk focusing on the faults in our healthcare system and the lack of reimbursement for disease prevention. You asked how the flow of money from insurance and pharmaceutical companies to disease treatment effect systems theory.  Steven from the TED talk made it clear how the influence of money leaves disease prevention on the sidelines. The systems theory looks at the cohesion and interconnectedness between systems, taking a holistic approach (Anderson, 2016). When applying this system theory to your question, it leaves disease treatment and prevention as two separate units to a whole.  To force healthcare culture to shift to a prevention focus, a major top down law or policy reformation would be needed.
